You need to match up the last five digits, 33920 is just the Suzuki code for an ECU. You may be able to interchange with an ECU that has a different last digit, some of those ECUs were also superceded with newer numbers, you would have to check with your main dealer.

I have a 2004 Grand Vitara 2.5L A/T 4x4. The ECU suffered catastrophic water damage and I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement. This vehicle's ECU has serial # of 33920-52JJ-0. Can I use an ECU with the 33920 but not the same as the last 5 in the serial #? Will an ECU without the same exact serial # have to be reprogramed for my 2004 GV?
