PE micro only sell the BDM interface and software to read/write a 68HC916 processor, they do not have any software for engine tuning.

I use the BDM software from PE Micro. I'm not aware of a tuning package that supports the 68HC916 processor although Psyche who is on this forum, has been developing one.

I could read mine with a BDM but I could not write to it, the configuration register data will indicate if it is a 68HC16 or an HC916. I do have some new software though so if the GM man can reprogramme yours then I will try again with mine. I was able to read and write to the Jimny ECU with no problems.

as far as I could bring in experience was this year built exelent for ecu tuning because free Portable programmable but they have said they are no longer sold.

because here in Germany I get not one but not the only 65G60 65G61 What market for the English and Indian. Please correct if wrong, I fakt is seeking further and report if I find it.

There is a guide to using TunerPro for diagnostics posted here:

http://rhinopower.activeboard.com/t36100328/tuner-pro-v5/

I will prepare a 1943 definition file for you.

So I investigated after the ECU from Suzuki baleno but I find nothing. except the control unit of suzuki baleno sedan 2004, which will also giebts than 1.6 I ask around I ekomme this ECU. the theme was baleno here in the forum already oft beschprochen but unfortunately there is not yet come to the denominator.

Thread / Rhino Power EFI / Rhino Power Forum / Suzuki ECU'S / 33920-65G60 Baleno 1.6

What was the part number of that ECU? A 2004 Euro model should be OBD2 but i didn't think that they still sold the Baleno in Europe in 2004. There is supposed to be a 33920-65G62 ECU for the Baleno but I have never seen one, its possible that it could be programmable.

I have been trying to determine if a new camshaft sensor is needed for the 81A11 but I have the Snap-On version of the Suzuki database and the 65G61 ECU does not seem to be listed.

Try to find some tuning-enabled ecu. For example: http://www.ecumaster.com/en/

Your English is better than my German. The easiest way to get a programmable ECU would be to replace the 68HC16 processor with a 68HC916 but I have not been able to find a source for these. On a HC916 ECU the processor is a dual core with a dedicated timing processor built in, the main programme memory can be reflashed but the timing processor cannot. If the processor comes from an ECU that has the same type of Camshaft Position Sensor then it is not a problem, the CPS is what stops us easily swapping ECUs in our vehicles. Potentially I could write all new software for the timing processor but I will struggle to find the time to do that so it may be necessary to change the CPS to be able to use a different ECU. I know of someone who is developing a new USB BDM, they have the ability to write a plug-in for TunerPro to allow address hitting to be used. There are a lot of possibilities but the problem is to make them happen, I want to get my SJ running on a programmable ECU this summer so I will have to work on this problem soon.

sorry I was in school 6 in english :-/

So now I got it I think I need a new controller to this then adjust fully tailored and to be able to because the original Baleno ECU is read-only, and I with TunerPro RT only able to read data, but I did bring nothing, I WANT the dant and CHANGE NOT ONLY READ.

So what can we make something there, or what it costs. Offer them freely programmable control units for Suzuki Baleno 1.6 L 16 V to combine.

I'm having problems understanding your English, the SDL interface is sold as a diagnostic tool/scan tool and it can be used with TunerPro to access diagnostic data. You cannot tune the ECU that you have as it uses a 68HC16 Masked ROM processor - it is not possible with any tool.

TunerPro was designed for use with GM products and is intended to be used for tuning with a diagnostic interface and an EPROM emulator, it can be used in this configuration only with earlier Baleno models that have an external EPROM fitted.

So with another answer, I have to buy me a different ECU so I can work there to the full extent, only which makes me wonder what fits ecu as still in the ECU?

And because TunerPro Rhino View is only a diagnostic tool, which is not at all at TunerPro, SDL intervace is not recognized.

it's all crap, I would venture to say a little bit more power assist via ECU tuning but it is not easy. and I do not want to pay € 300 for a new Stuergerät. then I can just buy the same cam shaft is effective even cheaper.

The Jimny ECU can be used with the stock Baleno immo but could be made to work without an immo. I looked at MS in great detail a few years back, the processor is not very powerful and it has too few pins but the main problem is that the stock Baleno ECU has around 120 maps, MS only has around five so you would never be able to get it to run as well as a properly tuned stock ECU.

My tool is only connected to pin 9, if the ABS or airbag controller is connected to pin 9 then I may be able to support it. I no longer have a Baleno on which to test software but I can use a simulator. The data for airbags or ABS from Suzuki is very expensive (over $1000 a year) hence it is only usually available on very expensive tools like the Tech2.

Suzuki do not provide immo data to third party companies. Immo reprogramming can only be done with an official tool like the Tech2, if you have a VAT number then you can pay to download an unlock code which will last 24 hours.

 I know this, but...

I wrote my own logging/visualisation software which can log all available parameters in datastream :)

Now I think about creating dedicated reprogrammable ecu (somthing like light version of megasquirt).

So what is the pin on the obd connector has abs I do not know but I know that 1 a tech the original suzuki / Gm tester also about readet.the device can keys programmen, read abs fault / reset, enable disable immobilizer /, motor control change and airbag control

sorry if I sometimes write wrong but my english is not so good. :))

Well, megasquirt works with almost every engine 2 or 4 stroke, R4 to V12 and accept wide range of sensors. I don't need so wide functionality.
This is just a low priority hobby project for winter evenings.

About this Jimny ECU.

Does it work without paired immobilizer?

So according to my subject is all abs, airbag, immobilizer control unit on the bus line to the engine control unit. and thus also accessible via obd.

I have a fixed camshaft sensor, see photo.

and for Tunerpro rt 5 I have found no definitions file. especially tuners in me always says SDL intervace Not gefunden.und can not Initializes werden.das only thing I know is that you change the ignition timing via ecu unit can just as injection quantity and date just as lambda value, but unfortunately in rhino view EGR only controlled what is not working and idle speed, this works, all other functions are not available. -. -

Rhinoview can log four parameters at a time. TunerPro logs all parameters, you can also replay TunerPro log files through the visual display.

Megasquirt is already a very light version of a real ECU, I don't think that you can remove any more functionality and still get a reasonable tune. I did try this about six years ago with a dsPIC based ECU but gave up on it. I think that a swap to a programmable Jimny ECU, like the 81A11, would be the cheapest swap and would retain the functionality of the stock ECU. I recently bought an 81A11 from eBay for around E5 to use in my SJ.

I have this same ecu in my samurai.

In the past I created definition file for TunerPro - this is quite easy task.

Unfortunatelly I missed this file somewhere. But having such a file gives nothing more over RV, than other kind of visualisation.

On your connector which pins are present? The immo is on pin 9 but I don't know about the ABS as mine did not have that.

there are several designs of camshaft sensor, does yours have two teeth or more?

Key matching is not currently supported.

Which ABS module do you have? it may be possible to add the ABS module, do you know if it is connected to the OBD2 plug or is it a seperate connector?

So yes, I have a fully electronic ignition.

camshaft sensor is fixed and can not be displaced, the crankshaft has a plurality of teeth by means of which one can modify the electronic ignition, the cam shaft needs to trigger only at the car radio, where the first stop there is cylindrical on ot running rest crankshaft via gear.

and in the last question I meant if you can, the key / radio remote control via the programieren sdl Intervace via OBD?

And if you can read via OBD ABS?

Yers thats a masked ROM processor so you won't be able to reprogramme it without replacing the processor. Do you know what type of camshaft sensor you have? how many teeth does it have?
I don't understand the second question.

I've come again went down to the garage to look at what I have eeprom. but I did as I see a masked the eeprom, and I have to work on bdm interface.

this is really bad.

So I can control EGR valve, idle speed can I change the ignition.

But how can I EGR control valve? and adjust the ignition?

from Tuner Pro rt I have not found a suitable definition, especially since each tuner also view the Rhino plug is not supported.

hmm .... probably I'll have to replace the entire eeprom and rewrite because unfortunately, not smart paraphrase works.

The tool allows you to fix the initial timing to allow it to be adjusted to the factory setting. To adjust the timing you must rotate the camshaft sensor. My SDL interface implements a virtual serial port which is supported by TunerPro RT v5, I can creat a definition for diagnostics for the 1943. The software in the ECU can only be modified if you have an EPROM PCB or  black sticker on the processor, that indicates that it is a 68HC916 processor and not a 68HC16 which uses a masked ROM. To remap a 68HC916 you need a BDM, it is possible to use the serial port but the software for that is  not fully developed.

I have sold my Baleno but I have a Baleno 1.6 16V that I am fitting in my SJ413K pick-up. I am considering fitting a Jimny ECU into that as it is reprogrammable, my Baleno ECU is not however it is not a straight swap.

Not all functions are supported by all vehicles, the 1943 ECU only supports Idle Speed, Fixed Spark and EGR Position. Idle speed and Fixed spark are only permitted by the ECU when at idle with the vehicle stationary. EGR control is usually only permitted stationary with the RPM over 2000RPM. If there are any fault codes the the ECU will not allow controls. The 'Reset ECU' command is used to clear fault codes.

Which TunerPro definition are you using?

which functions to time to dispose stand error_code delete idle speed. According to the program description should be able to control agr rad.fan controll, ignition timing, fuel supply, etc. All these functions are not zurfverfügung unfortunately.

I hope you can help me there.
