I was sure, that all EFI vitaras was equiped with fully functional controller. What's surprise...
So, the ignition in this case is mechanic/vacum operated like in carb models?

As I understand, serial interface is used to communication between ECU and ADC, so is not usable for externally connected devices?

Hi,
I received ecu from unknown vitara.
I can not connect to this ecu using RV nor other software.
It has old-fashion cpu and mysterious CLK and DATA pads. Is it possible, that it uses I2C or similar protocol?
It has 33920-60A70 number on the chassis sticker.

Check out the photo. I put red arrow to point the clk/data pins.

Thats a very early Vitara 1.6 ECU, it controls injection only. I'm not aware of any diagnostic link, I would expect that serial link to go to a serial ADC as the processor hasn't got one built in. I've not yet pulled the code from one of these although its fairly straightforward to do. Thats quite an interesting ECU as it has an OTP processor rather than the more common Masked ROM.

Edit: If you look just below the processor there is a TC35095 which is an 8-ch serial ADC

I can't find the schematic for the 56B30 PCB but its not a complex circuit to trace out. The hybrid circuit controls the injector current based on the voltage across the ceramic resistor.

By the way. You provided link to diagram of this unit in seetrax format.

I downloaded seetrax xl demo, but I can not open your diagram.

Can you provide it for example in pdf format? I have no injector signal and such diagram would be helpful to diagnose.

56B30 is a US FED spec. ECU, very similar to the 56B70 and uses the same software but it is configured differently, I have lots of information here:
