It can be reflashed with the correct equipment but it would be easier to swap the processors over. To reflash you need a code that is stored inside the processor and the only way to get that is to remove the processor and read it with a special adapter.

Hey guys!

Need a bit of advice here... First off, can my ecu be flashed? (99 tracker 4x4 5spd 1.6L Canada)

My ECU got water damaged... Long story... Water crossing failed...

here is my ecu code:

33920-66D2

If it's not flashable... I managed to get an ECU from a 2.0L.. It's IDENTICAL same board and chips but a different flash. It will run my truck but VERY BADLY.  Can someone one point me to the chip that contains the flash data so that I can swap it from the deffective board to the new good one?

here are the pics:

Damaged ECU (1.6l):

New ECU (2.0L):

NEW ECU (from a 2.0l Tracker / Vitara)

I suspect it's thjis chip:

FLASH Chip?

I would like to desolder the chip from the bad ECU board and re-solder it to the GOOD ecu board.

Or if possible, reflash the new ECU with a stock flash from a 99+ 1.6l Tracker / Vitara.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
