X431? Looks like a proper pro piece of kit, expensive, but it looks like you get a lot for your money.

Hi mate.
I appreciate your call the other day.
If you want to send me a request for the cable it would be good ( Also a link to software required as you said the software I have will not work )
I have tried loads since our conversation , used a pro set up from a garage and it read it.
it was the X341 model ( £2000 )
Anyways if you have the lead that will Extend through the sitting room window with my USB extensions and work with some software to my PC ( I will take your advice on this )...
Please text or ring 07858560666 or pay pal request Fieldsports@msn.com
Thanks Steve Henderson
North East ( Newcastle )

PS: Thats if it will work mate.

Hi
I have replied on BigJimny.com as well.

I can sell you a cable that will work with your ECU. Your existing software will not be suitable because it is designed to work with an ELM chip which uses a superset of OBD2. Whereabouts are you located?
Cheers
James

Can I ask for some help please.
I have tried OBD2 hand held readers that do not work so now I think I will move to a laptop to read the ECU and begin to play.
I want a cable that will connect USB2 to a PC and fit a Jimny 1998 plug.
There is a few on Ebay but most says that they work on Petrol cars 2001 and above.
Can anyone tell me what cable I need ?
Keep it simple if poss so I can follow instructions easy.
( I went to a yard and removed a plug from a V reg vehicle, there was only 3 wires in the plug, black ground and one either side )
PS: I have software just need a cable.

Any help Thanks

Any other Ideas will also be appreciated.
Or if you can sell me a cable that will be smashing.

Thanks Steve
