The EFI manifold is different to the carb manifold so if you are fitting a carb you need to swap. The carb needs a low pressure fuel supply and the EFI head has no provision for a mechanical fuel pump, like the carb head has so you will need to swap the fuel pump.
Is there a blank spot on the head that can be drilled out like some of the old Mitsubishi ?
Mitsubishi did not bother removing the cam lobe for the pump either.

Those are quite rare these days and replacements are hard to find; it would need to be inspected to see how bad the damage is, I have seen some very badly damaged examples of those.
