Yoys-n-joys,

No it is not a 2.7 but a 2005, 2.5 V6 ECU.

Is this 2.7 ecu? Apparently you can tune the 2003 xl7 or vitara v6 ecu. I just got some software and hardware saying this. I only have one ecu at the moment but soon as I find a 2nd I will post vid or a few pictures

Hello Raymond!

Naah, unfortunately i did not find a good work around or alternative solution.

I had to do some thorough investigation and checked all Grand Vitaras from the same year and with the same setup as mine with the Swedish department of transportation. By doing so I managed to track down a couple of vitaras that just got delivered to different scrap yards. After a couple of phone calls i found one that were not demolished and managed to buy a used one with the same number. The final step was to have a guy reprogram it. It was still possible to load the data from the drenched cpu.

To good thing about this is that i now have an almost complete list of all Grand Vitara 2003 manual v6 in Sweden ;)

Good luck with your search, these cars are to good to not try to save!

Best regards,

Gustav

And... Don't forget to build a small 'roof' for the new ecu if you manage to get a hold of one.

Dear Grejga,

I do have the same problem as you have, an ECU 33920-52J21 wasted by water.

Did you find a solution/replacement alternative?

It could help me out.

With kind regards,

Raymond

I javelin a 2003 xl7 can these be reflashed? Mpps or ktag have ability to do this?

I need to find a pin to add a obd2 port in my 2003 because it's swapped into a 1995 tracker and slimmed harness as much as possible.

Super!

I might have found an ecu with matching numbers, otherwise i will move forward and try one with the same board but different numbers.

Thanks again for your your help!

If the numbers on the processor is the same then they should have the same code. Some of those ECUs can't be re-flashed but if the processor is still good then it can be swapped onto another PCB with the same number.

Thank you for your answer!

If the numbers on the processors are the same and i clone the ecu (this is a bit out of my league, a company here in Sweden will do it for me if i find a suitable ecu) will this overwrite all the code, or does this cpu's have a part of the code that are not possible to overwrite?

I totally understand if it is impossible to answer my question without testing.

Thanks again!

They probably have different code. what are the numbers on the processor? Also check that they have the same components fitted. Unfortunately the clogged AC issue is a common problem.

Hello everyone!

This questions concerns a Grand Vitara 2003, v6, manual transmission.

So, I got my ecu (33920 52j2 1) drenched by a clogged ac.

I have found an other ecu with a different Suzuki parts number (33920 52jj 2). But, they have the same Hitachi number on the boards (GE222848 A).

Are they the same board in all essentials? If so, how come they have different part numbers? Region?

I also found some indications that 33920 52j6 0 might be the same as well. Does anyone have any inputs if that might be the case.

Since Sweden is a small country with few Grand Vitaras it would be extremely helpful if anyone could guide me towards an ecu from a different region that would work.

Thanks in advance!

Best wishes,

Gustav
