The cable is for diagnostics only, these old ECUs cannot be flashed directly they have to be modified using a daughterboard, I have experimented with it but there are very few vehicles left with the 57B ECU.
Will the daughter board work on these ecu? Do you have a link to one that will work I was going to swap in mega squirt on a g16 supercharged build. But if the oem ecu has ability to be chipped/ socketed I'd consider that.

Yes it is 4 speed transmission. Thanks for the reply. I wil lcheck but How can I check diagnostic code? Is it explained in 7B1-63? What tools do I need ?
Is this a 4-speed transmission? I would expect a 1993 to have a separate transmission control unit, those have their own diagnostic monitor port. The FSM supplement for the 4 A/T can be downloaded here:
I have 1993 Suzuki vitara, 1.6L 16v, Automatic transmission.
I have a problem. My OD OFF light is blinking and transmission is not working properly. I have to shift to L when take off, the I shift to D. IF I start with D car deos not move.
I consulted with a few technicians, they say that Engine Control unit is broken down and need to be replaced.
Engine ECU part no: 33920 57B60
Is the problem really ECU? How can I test ?
I searched everywhere but I could not find. Is there any other ECU that can fit to my vehicle?
