Hey there, I recently pulled out the ECM in my 1989 Suzuki Sidekick automatic 4WD. It smelled fishy and burnt, so I sent it off to have it repaired, as I only touch nuts and bolts, not circuit boards :). I have read that these units are very prone to meltdowns, so am looking for a backup computer in case there is an issue deep in the bush. The part number on my ECU is 33920-60A20, and I have found another for sale locally from a 1989 automatic, but it has part number 33920-60A41. When I look up both part numbers online, they state that they are both for 1989/90 Sidekick automatics. So I am wondering does it matter if it is 4WD or 2WD? And are these ECUs interchangeable?
