The 1996 Jimny would be the old SJ. The SN413 Jimny has had an immobiliser, in some markets, since it was launched in 1998. The pin out for the immobiliser ECU is slightly different from a non-immo ECU so they aren't a direct swap.

If I understand you correctly - you have an older model car with no immobilizer - your ECU and other parts were stolen, and the replacement ECU gives an immobilizer code.

Isn't this a simple matter of the replacement ECU being the wrong one?

I see two approaches to getting the car running - either get the correct (non-immobilizer) ECU - or - get the rest of the immobilizer system to match the ECU that you have - and as Rhino has pointed out, you need the ECU, along with the matching immobilizer and key, and probably the pickup coil antenna, wiring harness and maybe the locks to match the key.

The 5H is an immobiliser ECU, the chip is in the key, the immobiliser is a small metal box. The immobiliser will need to be matched to the replacement ECU, there is no way to bypass this. What is the part number for the 5I? it will start with 33920-

Hi

it s true, i have a Suzuki Jimny 1999 G13BB, and a few weeks ago was stolen the Ecu, isntrument cluster, an intake air tepmerature sensor, well, i bought a used ECu, isntrumente cluster and sensor, i installed it but the car dosenot start, it s cranck but does not start, well i jumped diagnostic connector and DTC 83 show up, on the manual says Inmobilizer problem, data link problem and diagnosis is "no ECM / inmobilizer control module code tranmitted from inmobilizer control modelue or DLC circuit opnede/shorted" but my car hasnot a inmobilizer, its a old model, even hasnot a transponder or chipkey, its a regular key but i bought a moder ECU 5I , i guess i need a 5H Ecu, can i jump or do something to star my car???
