You can't change the ECU on its own because its coded to the immobiliser. If you have no dash lights at all then I would suspect that a fuse has blown.

Hi I have a 2000 4u2 1.6 8v that ran sweet for two years never let me down. stood for 3 weeks now wont start? no fuel pump and spark now dash lights have gone too but car will still crank over but no go???I have tried all sorts from changing the plugs to replacing ecu and relays ! now im stuck and cant fing of anything els please could you Help me please.
