Yes its not easy to find without a mirror. If you unscrew it you can rotate it 90 degrees so a plugged in tool doesn't point downwards and get in the way of your legs.

Thanks for the info, I looked several times but could not find it. I even took the knee panel off and still could not find it. Traced the wiring loom and there it was just as you predicted, now I know where it is it’s easy to find right on the edge, it was easy to miss until you know where it is.
The 70E10 has an OBD port, you will find the connector under the dash, just above the driver's left knee, my interface works with this ECU. I originally designed an interface for my own use to collect data from the 70E10 in my own 4U2.

Hi every one I’m new to the group and have just got my first Suzuki
I now have a 1998 Vitara 1.6 8V. Just completed a head re-build due to head gasket failure. Just finished fitting the head and testing, no leaks runs a bit rough, will change timing belt and auxiliary belts now it runs. Whilst it was running well before the gasket failed (previous owner) I was wondering if I could change the fitted ECU 33920-70E10 for a slightly more up-to date one with OBD or OBD2 port so that I can download and check for problems rather than counting the flashing CEL. If I also got more management information that would be great.
