Once you send the KWP intialisation sequence you need to send 0100. If you get a 7F response then it is not OBD2 and you need a SDL/KWP interface, I don't currently have an interface that supports this protocol. A South American model is most likely SDL/KWP

One more thing. I have a ELM327 bluetooth adapter. I connect it and try to use torque without sucess. I have some experience in AT Commands. Do you know what AT commands can use (sending direcly from com to ECU) for a) verify a proper ODB2 response, b) Verify is it SLD/KDM interface?
