Just to let you know that the pinouts on my odb connector are as follows, if this helps.

 

2,4,5,9,16.

Hope this is of some use to you in relation to my issue.

Well you'll clear any temporary data in the ECU but it will soon relearn any settings. Can you see thta manufacturers name on the ECU? it should be either a Mitsubishi or an Hitachi.

As far as I know the Galletto would only support the Bosch ECUs fitted in the diesel models.

I am using a galletto 1260 odb2 to usb. Is it possible that this may be the issue in me not being able to read off the ECU.

Would there be any issues in taking out the ecu to get the photos to sen to you.

Post or email me a picture of the circuit board so I can see how it compares with the other GV ECUs that I've seen.

Any Ideas on what I can do without having to take it to a dealer as here in Ireland they will charge you an arm and a leg to get it remapped.

Most of these 1998 on ECUs can be remapped but I don't know of anyone that has worked on this ECU s yet. I believe that that ECU will have an Hitachi processor, the Mitsubishi guys are able to reflash their ECUs but the protocol is likely to be a little different.

Hi Guys

 

Just wondering if this ECU can be remapped easily and if so where can I get the software to do it. I have an ODB2 USB conector. My car is the Grand Vitara gv1600 2004.
