 Had a lot of issues on the previous modded motor. I had to rebuild it thrice at it kept breaking down with a blown headgaskte every 2000kms. Bigger pain was to find 100+ Oct fuel everywhere, specially outside the big cities.

Car was bought in 2006.

 I was running the following setup:

  • 76mm High Compression Honda pistons
  • Porting & Polishing.
  • Custom Drag Spec 4x1 Headers.
  • Custom freeflow and exhaust.
  • K & N Conical Air Filter.
  • Forged Crank & Conrods - Increased the deck height by 2mm.
  • Double Headgaskets to keep the CR down and car needed 100+ Oct fuel.
  • 1/4 mile Timing : 16.287 with 3 cylinders. Engine blew on the strip.
  • Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator.
  • Custom Short Ratio Gearbox.
  • Exedy Stage II Clutch.

This was the drag setup. Since the motor was not reliable, I re-sleeved the block and went back to:

  • 75mm Honda D15 pistons.
  • Race Dynamics Stand Alone ECU.
  • 270 degree Crower Camshaft and aftermarket valve springs.
  • Darlton Sleeves.
  • Custom stiffened suspension.
  • Ported & Polished head from the previous setup.
  • K&N filter from the previous setup.
  • Custom 4x1 headers from the previous setup.
  • Custom Gear Ratios from the previous setup

In the pipeline:

Stock engine + Complete turbo kit with a GT28RS + ECU. Hoping to pick up some forged conrods as they were misplaced.

Hey all.

My name is Rahul and I am from India.

I currently own a Baleno with a G16B engine and has the Euro III ECU.

I also own a Suzuki Swift DDIS, the 1.3L Fiat derived MJD diesel motor.

Was searching for info on the Baleno ECU and google brought me here.

Very impressed by Rhinoman's work and immedeately decided to sign up.

Hope to be of some help to other owners who are looking for info and learn something from this forum.
