You can pick up an immobiliser for around £20 but you need an antenna for it as well, they don't usually go wrong so you should be able to pick up one fairly cheap. Then you could either adapt that to your steering column or fit it somewhere else and use a keyblank or another old key to to disarm it.

OK, I found one (I must catalogue my ECUs one day!). These are immobiliser ECUs so you need the immo, transponder and a chipped key. Have you got the Swift steering column?

Hmm, thats an old picture but that is my workbench although it would have been before I moved house a couple of years ago. I will have another look around, maybe I still have it somewhere.
That would be great if you still had it. I have found a few on bizzare europeian breakers sites, but the ones who are selling at a price I want to pay all seem to want paying by direct bank transfer!
