Drivers could well become a problem with some devices, Windows now requires all kernal mode drivers to be certified which can be an expensive process. I recommend FTDI based devices because their drivers have been certified for some time.

Drivers for my USB-ALDL interface were the only snag I had - ended up using Vista drivers.

I've tested with a USB-ALDL interface on a laptop running Windows 7 64-bit so there shouldn't be any problems. I can't make any guarantee that an RS232 serial port interface will work on any machine because of problems with most serial port chips not supporting the baud rate.

Just for those who might be curious - the Rhinoview v0.5 appears to work find on Windows 7.
