The configuration file now includes gain and offset values for the WTS and IAT sensors. To determine the correct values for any given ECU the following procedure can be used.
Oen the confguration file and set WTSGAIN and IATGAIN to 1, set WTSOFF and IATOFF to 0, this will ensure that raw data values are displayed on the DataViewer.
using a temperature sensor/thermometer log WTS and IAT values against raw data values.
Using Excel or a similar spreadsheet programme create a chart with sensor raw values on the X-axis and temperature in degrees C on the Y-axis.
Left click on the plot to highlight it and then right click on the graph.
Select Add Trendline, under 'Type' select linear and under Options ensure that "Display on Graph" is checked.
The equation will be in the form y=Ax-B where A is the gain value and B is the offset, enter these values into the configuration file.
