Mine is a daily commuter, so no bench testing.  I'll look for one at junkyard

I'm working on a method of reflashing the ECU through the datalink connector using on of my interfaces, the ECU will most likely need a switch added to it to allow it to enter programming mode. Once its been modified pretty much anything can be changed although you would need to do some datalogging to help me locate and check each parameter. I'll probably need an ECU to bench test as well.

I'll check my ecu for the sticker.  After your reprogramming what will be capable of reflashing it? And do you have a price

The BDM interface from P&E Micro supports the 68HC16, its not cheap though. Padelis at PVTech was developing an interface, I can also offer a reprogramming service. The ECUs with a black sticker can usually be modified to allow them to be reprogrammed using the diagnostic link.

Which ones do support it.

The Swift ECU can only be reflashed if there is a black sticker on the processor, a BDM interface can then be used to read/write the memory. The BDM needs to support the 68HC16 processor - most of those sold through tuning shops and eBay do not.

Hello.  I stumbled upon the rhino website researching for a way to raise or remove my rpm limiter on my 2000 swift.  My power band is around the 5500 rpm mark, but is rudely stopped by the computer at 6500.  I would really like to be able to rev to 7 or 7500 to keep in the power band longer. So hello everyone, I'm open for ideas and direction while I dig for info through rhino forum threads!

Jared

Throttle on.....
