Hi
Fault code display and code clearing is possible and will be included in the next release of Rhinoview. The ECU has the capability to output current codes, as indicated by the check engine light and also stored codes where a fault is intermitent or has cleared.
The ignitor is +ve, gnd and trigger, I don't have any connectors.
Regards
James

Hello James,

Can the Rhinopower software detect & clear ECU error codes through the USB cable? I am interested in purchasing the cable.

A question regarding the Suzuki wasted spark ignitor. - I have seen there are three wires going into the ignitor.

Are these the connections?
1. +ve 12v (constant switched from ignition)
2. -ve (constant)
3. timing signal

Do you have the male/female couplers for the ignitor connectors?

It looks much the same as my Baleno, can you take a picture of the inside of the ECU? that would be useful.
Cheers
James

I couldn't note down the rest of the numerical series on the ECU. Maybe next time when I visit the garage.

Are you still working on the LCD display panel similair to the Scangauge?

Is there any way re-map the Timing/Fueling curve of the stock ECU using an external soft flasher connected to the OBD port? On disconnection of the unit the ECU retains stock values.

I still need to find a couple more addresses for the stock ECU before I can finish the display unit.  Also I may be picking up a Baleno this weekend, it has the factory trip computer so that will be interesting. I will post up some info on that when I get a chance to look into how it works

I haven't been able to erase the memory on the 65G60, I'm hoping to ba able to borrow a proffesional programmer in a few weeks time if that happens I'll have another attempt at it. It may be a semi-custom processor so it would need to be swapped for a different one.

The Volo chip doesn't work because it can't. The manufacturers have made contradictory statements about how it is supposed to work but its all nonsense anyway. It supposedly uses the OBD2 port so even if their claims were true it wouldn't work on early Zuks anyway.

I tried clearing my chache & tried for a couple of days. Using Mozilla Firefox. There seems to be a problem directory lisitng in your html pages.

When I click on the 'Hardware' tab in the home page
http://www.rhinopower.org/index.html
it goes to a 'page cannot be found' with this address
http://www.rhinopower.org/diag_index.html

I think that page should link to:  http://www.rhinopower.org/diag/diag_main.html

There is another problem. After going to the home page if I click on 'Software' tab & then the 'Hardware' tab, it is re-directed to another 'page cannot be found' with another address:
http://www.rhinopower.org/ECU_index.html

Tried Internet Explorer but still the same

So you have the 'Hardware' tab pointing to 2 different web pages.

Fixed, thank you for your patience biggrin

There may be a problem with your browser caching old pages, try hitting F5 a few times.

The Rhinopower interface will work with your ECU, I have personally tested it on several different Baleno ECUs and SpaDival had a similar interface working on an Indian Baleno. What are the numbers after 33920? Your engine has the same ignition setup as my Baleno engine, the main difference is that my engine is on the garage floor and not in a vehicle!
I have most of the mapping for two Baleno models, in a couple more weeks I should have the other locations know.

This link in the website does not work
http://www.rhinopower.org/ECU_index.html

Does the Rhinpower OBD interface work on this Denso ECU from a Baleno 1.6L? It uses wasted spark distributorless ignition. The series number is 33920-

Partial schematics for the 33920-65G61, this is a very similar ECU but uses newer shape surface mount components.

Source code for the 65G61 ECU, this file will be updated as further code analysis takes place.

This ECU is based on ther 68HC16 processor. I have partial schematics for the ECU. I have invested in the Prog16z software that should enable me to read and write the processors internal memory. I am developing my own hardware interface.

Current status: I can achieve communications with the processor, more work is required to read and write to memory.
